We are looking for a field trialist or assistant for the season 2024.
Job description (see pictures below): agricultural field trials on arable crops, orchards and vine.
Small plot layout,
applications of plant protection products with hand held application equipment,
efficacy assessments,
harvest with plot combine
and many more.
Training on the job possible, but previous experience as field trialist is preferred for being able to conduct tasks as independently as possible.
Basic Requirements:
Working permit,
Class B driver's license with driving practice,
English or German language,
MS Office programs (WORD, EXCEL),
flexibility in working hours,
willingness to work outside,
and physical fitness.
Optional and welcome skills:
Agricultural education,
knowledge of operating agricultural machinery,
experience as field trialist,
knowledge of ARM (very specific) software.
The place of employment is the Göttingen region, with frequent day trips to Saxony-Anhalt (~200 km one way).
We offer a good insight and introduction into agricultural experimentation and Good Experimental Practice (GEP). With the chance to extend the tasks to data processing and report writing in autumn and winter, when appropriate.
Half- or Full-time position, limited to max. 6 months.
Salary subject to negotiation, depending on profile and prior education.
Permanent employment as field trialist, field biologist may be possible when appropriate.
